Group Events 2025

The Group were present at a number of shows this year with an IAM RoadSmart stand or presented to the public.

• Tuesday, 4th March 2025 - 41st Group AGM, Liston Hall, Marlow. with presentation by Dr Richard Lambourn of the Transport Research Laboratory (TRL).
• Saturday, 19th July 2025 - Hellfire Motor Club - The Big Meet, West Wycombe.
• Saturday, 12th July 2025 - Holmer Green Music on the Common.
• Wednesday, 9th July 2025 - Presentation to the High Wycombe WI.
• Sunday, 29th June 2025 - Chesham Motor Show.
• Sunday, 8th June 2025 - Classics on the Crick, Naphill.
• Saturday, 10th May 2025 - Hyde Heath Village Fete & Classic Car show. The group were present witn an IAM RoadSmart stall.

Group Events 2024

• Saturday, 19th October 2024 - Skidpan, Thruxton Circuit.
• Tuesday, 8th October 2024 - Mini Factory Tour, Cowley, Oxford.
• Tuesday, 5th March 2024 - 40th Group AGM, Liston Hall, Marlow. with presentation by Adam Moore, Station Commander, Amersham and Beaconsfield, Fire and Rescue Service.
• Saturday, 20th July 2024 - The Big Meet, The Walled Garden, West Wycombe.

  High Wycombe Group of Advanced Motorists to attend The Big Meet at The Walled Garden, West Wycombe on Sat 20th July.

  We will have a couple of our members' interesting cars on display (Classic and Modern) together with video presentations and leaflets promoting the benefits of Advanced Driving and what the course entails.

  Do please spread the word amongst family and friends. You may have an interesting vehicle of your own that you would like to show, or just wander round the displays. Come along and enjoy the show and support IAM RoadSmart – it would be great to see you there and meet some potential new members.

Group Events 2023

It is with great disappointment that we must announce the cancellation of the forthcoming Autumn Event planned for this coming Friday 29th September.

Unfortunately, our speaker, Reg Local (John Gregory) has had to cancel due to personal circumstances, and it is too late for us to make alternative arrangements.

We will work with John to rearrange the event at a future date and inform you of any changes.

Please ensure that you pass the message on to any friends or family members that you may have invited.

Group Events 2022

• Tuesday, 1st March 2022 - 38th Group AGM. The meeting will resume as face to face.
• Date TBA - We plan to resume a Summer Event, similar to previous years. Details to follow!

Group Events 2021

• Tuesday, 2nd March 2021 - 37th Group AGM. The meeting will be held online with Zoom.
• Tuesday, 11th May 2021 - Quiz Night! A quiz night is to be held by Zoom. Details to follow!

Group Events 2020

• Tuesday, 3rd March 2020 - 36th Group AGM. Speaker is DR CHRIS TENNANT, VISITING FELLOW, LONDON SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS AND POLITICAL SCIENCE.
• Saturday, 4th April 2020 - -->Ultimate Car Control day, Upper Heyford.
  **CANCELLED** Due to COVID-19. This event will be re-arranged for later in the year.

Events 2019

• Monday, 5th March 2019 - 35th Group AGM. Speaker is Gary Baldwin, Supervisor, Forensic Collision Investigation Unit, Hampshire & Thames Valley Police JOU - Roads Policing.
• Tuesday, 18th June 2019 - The group are holding their annual summer event - An evening at Liston Hall, Marlow, with nibbles, and a presentation from Gary Baldwin.
• Skid Pan Event - The group hope to arrange a Skid-pan event - details TBA
• September 2019 - Autumn event, TBA

• Monday, 16th April 2018 - 34th Group AGM. Speaker is Pat Doughty, IAM RoadSmart Charity & Operations Director.
• 5th July 2018 - The group are holding their annual summer event - An evening at St. Katherine's Parmoor, with nibbles, speakers and videos. This year we are focussing on the Young Driver.

• Tuesday, 6th May 2014 - Clive Morgan, An Examiners view of the Advanced Driving Test.
• Tuesday, 4th March 2014 - Group AGM 2014.

2013 Events

• Tuesday, 1st October 2013 - Andy Evans - Forensic Collision Investigation.
• Saturday/Sunday, 21st/22nd September 2013 - The group is unable to attend this year's Kop Hill Climb. However, it is a highly recommended event and worth the entry fee to pop along and watch.
